Default Citizenship..pls help me

Dear Experts, pls help me,
Myself and my wife applied for the citizenship together, but she
received yesterday for the test, but I have not received, is it normal?
I am bit worried, whether it lost in the mails?
I tried to call 1888- number and it seems to be engaged all the time,
can anybody tell me please what should I do? Should I wait?
Thanks in advance,
Siv

Sit it out right now. While it's preferable to have them both processed
at the same time, there are always the delays and different circumstances.
It could be something as simple as your letter was delayed either way (i.e.
You could get your letter tomorrow), or there are some other things required
to investigate yours, or the processing merely was delayed.

Don't worry too much right now. Good luck for the test.

I would be amazed if the processing time was the same for the both of
you. The 888 number seems permanently busy, but the online e-client is
pretty reliable.

Go to

S.jsp[/url]

follow the instruction, have your file number or some other CIC paperwok
handy to identify yourself, and see what your and your wifes application
status is.

Be patient, it will happen soon enough, and dont worry!

Anybody knows what level of detail that interface provides? In
particular, when the regional CIC office sends you a letter inviting
you for a test, will that information appear on the site, or you won't
know until the letter comes thru?

This look like a silly question, but there seem to be a quite a
discrepancy between the list of things that CIC sent to me (or,
rather, claims to have sent to me) over the last year and the things
that I actually received; so it would be neat if I could at least be
sure that any letter sent is reflected on the site.

So far my status page says something like this:

We received your application for grant of Canadian citizenship
(adult) on August 01, 2003.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application, and a
study book called A Look at Canada on August 01, 2003 to
[address]. [Yup, I actually got that the book in October after
I called them up, and the acknowledgment in November -- V.M.]

We started processing your application on November 05, 2003.

Your file was transferred on November 19, 2003 to the Surrey
office for the citizenship testing and taking of the
citizenship oath. The Surrey office will contact you to write
the Citizenship test.

Hopefully Siv can answer that for us. As his wife has recieved an
invitation to test eclient should show that, and i suspect that his will
be similar to yours (and mine), waiting for the regional office to send
a request for test.

Good Luck.

It takes about 12 months from start to finish. It is quite possible that
your test will be scheduled to be written in Kelowna somewhere about
April/May when there are sufficient applicants in the Area. Then you should
get a request to attend the Oath ceremony about 2/3 months after the test.
So it would appear that your case is moving along.
