Anybody knows what level of detail that interface provides? In
particular, when the regional CIC office sends you a letter inviting
you for a test, will that information appear on the site, or you won't
know until the letter comes thru?
This look like a silly question, but there seem to be a quite a
discrepancy between the list of things that CIC sent to me (or,
rather, claims to have sent to me) over the last year and the things
that I actually received; so it would be neat if I could at least be
sure that any letter sent is reflected on the site.
So far my status page says something like this:
We received your application for grant of Canadian citizenship
(adult) on August 01, 2003.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application, and a
study book called A Look at Canada on August 01, 2003 to
[address]. [Yup, I actually got that the book in October after
I called them up, and the acknowledgment in November -- V.M.]
We started processing your application on November 05, 2003.
Your file was transferred on November 19, 2003 to the Surrey
office for the citizenship testing and taking of the
citizenship oath. The Surrey office will contact you to write
the Citizenship test.
