Default Changing Working Visa to Student visa

Hello

Does anyone know if you can change a working visa to student visa whilst
in Australia, without returning to the UK. My husband, myself and our
14yr old son have been accepted by the SA Government on the SIR visa and
my 19 yr old son wants to come out with us on a working visa at the
start. When we have settled, my 19yr old son plans on looking around
the universities/colleges to enrole on a course to enable him to become
skilled. If anyone else has a better idea of how we can take our eldest
with us and stay the three years, we would be most grateful.

Sue

Sue,

I'm assuming that your 19 year-old son is a British citizen. As you
mentioned, he is planning on looking for tertiary education, so he'll be
looking for a Higher Education 573 Visa. British citizens may not apply
for a 573 visa while in Australia.

Alternatively, you should discuss your son's Remaining Relative
visa options with a registered migration agent with experience in
such matters.

Thanks Peter

I am not sure what you are talking about on the visa side, but will look
it up. I will talk to my agent again, as I have not heard of the
remaining relative visa. Thank you for you advise

Hi Sue

We are in a simular position as yourselves,we have been accepted by Vic
STNI,we have a 18 year old who hopefully will be included in our main
visa and a 21 year old who is comming with us on a WHV with the intent
of going to uni or study after her WHV expires, and then we will be able
to sponcer her as a last remaining relative.

There does not seem any easy way of her comming with us on a PR!

Sorry i can't be of any help to you, but i know how you feel.
