Change of status on F1 valid?

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for a change of status
to another visa from F1 status after completion of studies but before
the 60 day grace period is over. I know its possible to apply for an OPT
during this grace period but is applying for a change of status to H4
allowed. Will appreciate a response.
