Default Case Officer Query

When you get a case officer is that the final countdown then? Just
lodged our visa so long way to go :unsure:

Yes, once you get a co, get your meds done, pccs and then it looks like
four weeks(ish) is the norm.

the case officer will request meds, pcc's and bond (dependant on visa
class)...then its the final countdown.

Bond? Does this apply to a Skilled Independent Subclass 136 visa?
Haven't been told by our agent about this bond? Have just paid $1990
for the visa application to Dimia though. Same thing??

No it's not the same thing. You pay a bond to gain extran points. If you
had enough points then it will not be required. Your agent should have
told you if it was required.

or if you are being sponsored by a relative you pay a bond.

Dear all,

I think a bond is paid at the discretion of the CO, when you seem
likely to incur government health costs, welfare etc. It doesn't earn
you any points. But the AUD100 000 investment helps get you an extra
fiver.
