Default Case number VS Rank number

Hi All,

I'am a dv 2004 winner and my case number

2004as00026xxx and i wanna know if the case number and the

rank
number is the same, this is because i saw the dv 2003

avilable rank
numbers in the last month of the year 2003 and it

was about 20000, and
for dv 2004 the the rank numbers for asia

is moves slow and i think it
will be the same as dv 2003.

Is this mean that they'll not reach
my rank number or the

rank is deffirant of the case cut-off number, if
anybody have an

idea please tell me.

Please be aware that the
number of all winners from asia for

2004 about 19000.

thanks

I have the same situation (a DV-2005 winner): My case number/rank
number is way higher (by around 11000) than all the 45143 winners in
Africa for DV-2005!

Please could some one explain that !

Case number and Rank number are the same thing. Unfortunately they
published the September cut-offs and your case number is not below the
published number which is 16,300 for Asia. (see
http://travel.state.gov/news/public_visa.html). This means that you
will not be called for a visa interview, and you will not benefit from
winning the DV lottery.
