'Cancelled without Prejudice' means just what it says. The
old visa was cancelled but it shouldn't prejudice any other application.
If the visa was cancelled with prejudice or for cause then it would be
stamped or notated with a section of law, or ground of inadmissibility.
For example, if it was stamped as "Cancelled pursuant to section 222(g)
of the INA then that could cause a denial of some immigration benefits.
Sometimes it's indicated by the acronym "CWOP".
It should have no
adverse effect on your friend's immigration applications.
