Alan,
Why do you want to cancel it? Is it just because it's taken three
months so far of waiting? Sorry, just curious.

Do I have to subjugate myself to humiliation because of this romantic
failure?
I just need to know how to do it. Please.

Re: cancel I129F i'm an idiot
You can write them and be sure that you include the case number on the
NOA you received and a copy of the NOA as well. Send it return
receipted mail as proof that you sent it. Also send a letter to the US
Consulate your fiancee had been planning on using and advise them that
you are or have withdrawn your petition for the I-129F. Again be sure
to include the case number and a copy of the NOA. In this way you are
sure that the fiancee will not attempt to follow through with the K-1
portion using someone else posing as you as she might have your vital
information, i.e. ss#, etc. to do up phony documents.

Re: cancel I129F i'm an idiot
Alan4801,
No need to feel humiliated, as it does happen and I can assure you that
very few people here in this forum think any less of a person
experiencing what you are experiencing. If the relationship was doomed
for failure, find some solice in the fact that it ended now verses a
year or two from now. Hopefully though, you will see the ex-partner for
what she is/was and not give up on meeting someone special just because
she is from another country. As far as answering your question, I think
that Rete has answered it best.

Yes, you must!!!

Just write a letter, preferably notarized, to the service center. Include
case number and tell them you wish to cancel. They don't need to know why
but we'd sure like all the humiliating gossip here.

How unkind.
Hope that doesn't come back to bite you on the ass one day.
Lets hope in a couple of years you aren't back with your tail between your legs
as it were.

Alan,
I didn't mean any offense, really. The way you signed your name about
"CSC--no action so far" led me to presume that perhaps you were just
tired of waiting after three months and were going to cancel it out of
frustration with the wait. If that was the case, I wanted to assure you
that three months of waiting is certainly not unusual; in fact, that's
on the quick side.
I'm sorry that things didn't work out for you. I was simply hoping to
reassure you, not add to your frustration. Good luck.

How do you figure?

How would that happen?

He seems pretty sure of his decision.

Re: cancel I129F i'm an idiot
Booger,
Why do you think that a notaized letter is preferred?
