Default canada to australia family

me and the family are looking at moving from canada to australia, and i was
wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what starting wages are for
construction labourers and 1st year apprentices.
I'm experienced rubber tire and track loader operator (3yrs) forklift (5
yrs) maintance welder/fabricator (2yrs)
looking at apprenticing either as a welder, heavy equipment mechanic or
millwright. if anyone can help me out with what to expect with wages in
Australia that would be greatly appreciated. Was looking at housing costs
and unfortuantly they are basically the same as the ones in my area in
Canada...to dam high =)
reply here or to
thank you in advance

It all depends where you're going in Australia. But I have a sister in
Calgary who will migrate here in Melbourne next year. She will sell her
Calgary house for $700k and should spend no more than $500k to get a
comparable house in Melbourne. So she's way ahead. I dunno how much
different Edmonton is. Btw, I lived in Calgary for six years myself.
