Hi,

July 1st, 2003 I sent my original passport, my original landing paper, my
original birth certificate and my original marriage certificate in order to
complete a "REQUEST TO AMEND IMMIGRATION RECORD OF LANDING OR CONFIRMATION
OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE". I had to do this first before I can request a
second amendment of my maple leaf card. At any rate the change is rather
straight forward. I am doing this because when I got my landing paper in
2002 I did not notice the dash between my first name and my father name and
as a result my first name became: "My Real First Name"-"My Father Name". It
has been almost 3 months and I have not heard anything back (I did send
everything in registered mail). Now, I do not have a passport, landing
paper, birth certificate and marriage certificate. Is this normal? Why is it
taking so long? I am stuck here and I need to travel to Europe soon on a
business trip and now I am just sitting here waiting. Tick Tack Tick Tack
