Default C++ programmer + 15 months of working experience = ...?

I know that ACS skills assessment requires 4 years of working
experience. I wonder if there is a VISA that would allow me to live and
work in Australia earlier?

I can meet all other requirements: my jobs is an "occupation in
demand", I'm 26 years old and I have good English skills.

I would be very thankful for all helpful information!

Hi Francis,

A student visa, an occupational trainee visa, a sponsored business (457)
visa, or a working holiday or special program visa might all be viable
options, depending on your circumstances.

Cheers,

Hi George,

Thanks a lot for the information! After having read a little about
these options it seems that the 457 visa is what I need.

Now I am going to ask what seems like a silly question, but I am
clueless: How do you find a company that is willing to sponsor you for
this? Do you just send your CV and ask them? I assume they want to see
me for an interview first!

Or should I apply for a working holiday visa, find a job, work for
three months and then ask them to sponsor me for a 457 visa? This seems
to make more sense :-)

I understand these questions are so basic that they seem ridiculous,
but I just want to make sure understand it all well.

Thanks again for the information :-)

Cheers,

Francis

Anyone else that could help?
Or that could share how they found an employer (from overseas or during
working holiday)?

Francis
