Default BCIS case status service online

Hi all,

I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward the holidays. I am
wondering if anybody knows what 13 digits number are they talking about
in this "check the status of your case" link, because my I-485
application has only one number, the A95 number, and that one is ONLY 10
digits....

By the way, anyone with information about how the I-485 processing dates
in Hatford, CT is doing or anyone with questions about Hartford please
feel free to contact me.

Best,

Groovy

ok

this is very funny but I am going to answer myself. I did some research
on old topics and found the following line:

"AOS, EAD and AP can not be checked online"

Anyway, how is that on that same page the Hartford office claims they
are processing AOS dated November 2003 when I did apply in January 2003
and they haven´t been back to me at all!!!

Anybody?

Is it your reciept number on your I130 or I129?

No, I already did all the k1 stuff and we married in December 2002. We
are waiting for the AOS I-485 and the only thing I do have is a little
receipt of payment with my A95 numbr which is only 10 digits.

best,

groovy

Hmmm...I received a NOA for both the EAD and AOS (that was on the same
type of paper as the NOA for the I-129F) and it had my reciept numbers
on the top left corner. I can enter them on the case status page. Maybe
I just received one because mine is more recent? Maybe they didn't used
to give them out when you filed?

Hi Steffi,

and thanks for sharing... We applied for AOS in January 2003 and I
believe the INS was still in charge. I think they changed to the new
agency over the summer and that is maybe why i do not have a NOA but
just a small receipt (like the one you get on the supermarket) and I can
not track my case...

The truth is I am worried now because my husband and I are moving to MA
from CT and I don not know what to do... I guess we will have to move
the application and then wait centuries.......

Any ideas?

In New York, recent AOS applications have been forwarded to the MSC
for processing (mine was). In that case you receive a proper NOA with
a receipt no. on it. Older applications are still being processed by
the local office and you only have a yellow till receipt as evidence
of filing.

Maybe it's the same at your office?
