Quick question on Australian immigration.

My partner has taken time
off with maternity leave since April. She will be the primary applicant
and up until April had 5 years service with her company. We would be
looking to submit our application in the next six months after,
hopefully, positive skills assessments. She may not go back to work for
more than a year. We can only obtain 5 points for her experience as it
may be deemed unreleated to her occupation. (3 of the last 4 years)

The
question is

Is work experience judged from when you submit the
application or when the application is processed? It may be that when
the application is processed that she will not have worked for two years
but when submitted will have worked for 3 of the last four years and
been off work for maybe 9-11 months.

Anybody know?

Work experience for general skilled is assessed based on time of
application.
