Default Arriving on different days

I recieved my spouse visa back in June, which also included my son
before he turned 18. We are all going to OZ in December but my Son is
arriving 2 days later at the same airport (Sydney)
Will this cause any problems, do we need to arrive together or is it ok
for him to arrive later because I would of already entered and
valiadated my visa.

Thanks
Anne

Usually it's ok for dependents to arrive after the main applicant, as
long as that's before the first entry date.

The reverse isn't true.

Look at the visa labels and you should see a condition 8502 on his visa.
Is there any 8502 condition on yours?

Hi Jeremy
There isn't a condition 8502 on either visa but it is a permanent
residency visa sub clas 100 conditions MIG.REGS.SCHED 8 if that means
anything to you.
Does this make a difference
Thank you
Anne

How is the order of entry actually determined? We arrived in Sydney on
20 Aug 05 and I handed the whole family's passport to the immigration
agent as we have two small children and my wife's hands were full with
them. I don't know in which order he processed them, although my
passport was on top. Is it just a case of arriving on the same day on
the same flight or is it a to the second thing?

Secondary applicants may arrive with the primary applicant - there won't
be any issues if you all show up as a group at the customs counter.

thanks for posting this...as my husband and i are considering the move
back to australia. and if granted so.....was thinking i could take the
youngest (7yr Canadian step son) back with me first...to set up
house..settle him in school etc....looks like that won't be
happening..

It still doesn't answer my question to whether it is ok for my Son to
arrive 2 days later even though I am the main applicant he is my
dependent although he is now 18. We both have a visa but it doesn't have
the numbers in it that Jeremy mentions.

Thanks again
ANNE

It should be ok for him to arrive 2 days later (as long as that's before
the first entry date). The only time DIMIA may have a problem is if a
secondary applicant arrives first.
