Default Apply for F-1 visa in Canada border

Hi, I am currently on F-1 visa status. I am now enrolling at community
college. This 2005 summer I wanna go home. But my visa is expired. So
I need to renew my visa in order to get back to America. I know that I
can apply for a new F-1 visa in Canadian border post near Toronto
area. I just want to ask is anybody in here ever apply for a F-1 visa
in Canadian border? Is it really hard to apply? In case they deny my
visa, what can I do? can I buy a airplane ticket that go from Canada
to my home country? If they disapprove my application, where can I
stay while I look for an airplane ticket to go back to my home
country.
Please advice me. I just want to know the experience of applying F-1
visa in Canadian border.
Thanks

It is not actually right at the border, but at a US consulate inside
Canada (not too far from the border, though).

Not harder than anywhere else. The odds of a denial are slightly higher if
your case is weak or they decide you are subject to the security
background checks.

Yes, that would be your only option. Airfares on short notice tend to be
very expensive.

You would have to find a hotel, hostel, or stay with friends or the like.

Do you anybody that go to us embassy in canada to renew their visa?
Are they rejected or approved?
For my application I have
I-20, I-94, GPA:3.92
My personal Bank Statement: 4000 USD
My parent bank statement: 15000 USD
Letter from the company that guarantee a job in my homecountry when I
finish degree in the US
My parent monthly income: 2000 USD
Poverty of my parent : 1 house, 1 farm,
Major: Finance
My yearly income: 7000 USD
I currently enrolled in community collge in Ohio.
So based on the information above, is my application strong enough to
convince the interviewer approve my visa application? Do you think
it's a good idea to apply a new visa in Canada or should I coming back
to my home country to apply for a new visa?

BTW, do you know any good websites that I can buy a cheap airplane
ticket from Canada to another country.
