Would appreciate some information on the delay in my case:

I applied for Canadian permanent residency under the skilled worker
category in Nov, 2001 to the Buffalo office.
My file was created in Jan, 2002 and completed my medicals in Feb,
2003. I was not called for an interview. I got married to an Indian
citizen working in USA in April, 2003 and informed the consulate of
the same. They then sent forms for her to submit which she did so that
she could immigrate with me. She cpmpleted her medical examination in
Sep, 2003 and we are still waiting to hear back from the immigration.
We have written letters for a status update to no avail.
I believe the validity of my medical expires after a year i.e. Feb
2004 and hence very concerned on the status of my application.

hmmm just my opinion here

but maybe they were waiting for your wife information and when it
came... they had to wait for the december 1/2003 ruling that came into
effect for us 2001 cases to be assess under both transitional rules and
the new points... and soon after most visa officers went on holidays
back to canada... maybe the one looking after your case did also...

i am sure now 2004 has arrive and everyone is back to work they will get
cracking on 2001 cases... i am in the same boat... my case is up for
final review this mth...

i was reading also somewhere in this forum that visa post were ask to
complete pending 2001 cases asap... even though this was just a
rumour... not offical... but i am sure it has some truth to it... or i
hope there is some truth to it

i think by the end of feburary lots of us pending 2001 will be hearing
from our various visa post... since we were put on hold and delays
because of all those new rules an court cases...

so i guess patience is the word... even though mine has ran out on me
looooooong time ago
