Default Appeals

I think it would be good to have stories why you visa has been denied
and have you appeal (how, what happened, etc) ?
So please, inform all
the rest of us who have been unsuccessful.
Thank you,

Hi Bipsich,

See www.mrt.gov.au for a complete database of migration appeals since June
1999 and not including refugee, character, citizenship, business visa
cancellation or security cases, which are dealt with by other tribunals.

Cheers

To add to what George says, generally you need to either by applying for
an onshore visa, or have an Australian sponsor, in order to appeal.

Skilled independent, subclass 136, does not have an appeal right.

Hi - We were turned down by NZ immigration even tho we were both
working here, and came to NZ on a job offer. We were turned down
because husband has an unusual job which was not on the "List" of
required jobs.
We appealed by providing proof that husbands job was
understaffed and in demand, numerous letters from our employers, and
provided personal references etc. and were succesful. It took 18
months in all - what stress !
