Default AOS and L1 visa - Pls. help!

Hi,
I'm ready to file my AOS package with the BCIS in November '03 based
on Visa Lottery. But I just realized that my current L1 visa expires
in March of 2004.
My questions:
1- would that 5 month time window (Nov '03 - Mar '04) be enough time
to get my status adjusted by the BCIS?
2- if the answer on 1 is no, Can I extend my L1 visa after I filed my
AOS package with the BCIS?
3- if the answer on 2 is no, Should I get an extension of my current
L1 visa before to file the AOS package?
4- In this case, I won't be able to file with the BCIS in November
with the associated risk of not having my permanent residence status
on time. right?
I'll appreciate anyone's feedback.
Thanks

If you file your AOS before your I-94 for the L-1 expires your status is "in
adjustment" you do not need a valid visa or I-94 for that. However, if you need
to travel, you will need advance parole and to work, you will need an EAD. So
be prepared.

Thanks for your reply...
One more related question, what is my evidence of this 'in adjustment'
status if I just need to mail them my package (BCIS receive
application by mail only)and I won't have anything from BCIS until
they call my for an interview which in some cases won't happen for
several months?
Thanks again for anyone's feedback.

You would have your I-485 receipt notice, wouldn't you?
