AOS Interview question...
I have my AOS interview coming up next week. I have already submitted my
medical exam and affidavit of support with my original packet, and
nothing changed since I submitted it 2 months ago.
My question now is: is the officer at the interview going to add any
paperwork to my file, or he simply going to examine it? In other words,
should I bring copies of photos, bills, statements, letters, or can I
just bring the originals?
I was looking through the "laundry-list" of things to bring to the
interview, and it seems they just want ALL the original docs and the
evidence supporting the marriage. They will obviously not retain my
original docs (they already have copies), but will they want to retain
any of the relationship evidence?
Thanks for your answers.

Make photo copies of everything I did just incase and they also took all
my originals as well so be prepared.
Even if they have copies they may take more its up to the officer on the
day of the interview.
Good luck hope all goes well for you.

Do they also take photos/evidence of relationship? I have all my photos
in a bound hardcover photobook, since I was planning on showing it to
them only... should I bring also some photos printed on letter-sized
paper for them to retain?

Yes. Bring the original and a photocopy of ALL evidence that you bring.
The officer will take the photocopies and add them to your file. Just
in case he/she wants to see the original of anything, have it handy
also. I'm referring to bank statements, bills, photos, etc., that
you'll be using to show your joint life.
Best Wishes,
Rene

They may not even look at the phots alot don't.
Just photo copy bills and joint documents in both names no need for
th photos.
At my interview they took bank statements in both names and the
cable contract that was it, did not ask for photos never even asked
to look at them.

Re: AOS Interview question...
Personally at my interview I took ALL originals and 2 copies of
originals. It makes it alot easier for the officer even though I had
submitted most with the application.
Good Luck

LOL, that's ok! Actually they never looked at pics at our
interview, either, even though I brought them. I think it's a good idea
to bring them anyway (or just several photos), just in case the officer
DOES want to see them. From us, the officer collected photopies of our
bank statement, cable TV bill, cell phone bill, and car insurance.

They will want an original, ours did. But perhaps she only had a US
high school equivalency diploma to qualify for her civil servant
position and your examiner might have received their education at Oxford
and realize that looking at the copy and comparing it to the original
shows no difference so the copy would suffice. You never know.

As you've probably gathered, every officer and interview is different so
its hard to predict but a safe bet is take as much as you can.
My AOS interview was last week and she was only interested in the joint
stuff we had, she didn't look at our original marriage and birth
certificates. She did look at photos and glanced at the letters, emails
and cards we had too. Always better to take more than you think.
Good luck
