Default AOS interview cancelled twice...HELP

Hi everybody,

I have situtation here if anyone could help/suggest.

I came here on F1 and while i was going to school and was within my status, got married to a US citizen. Filed 130 and 485 in Sept 2004, got an interview call for Dec. 2004. Just a few days before the interview, got a letter stating that interview has been CANCELLED due to some unforseen circumstances. Tried calling USCIS but they had no answer.

Started waiting for another interview call which came in April 2005 and interview appointment was for December 2005. As a matter of fact December 12, 2005. And once again we received a letter on December 08 stating the same bullshit i.e. " interview CANCELLED due to some unforseen circumstances".

We are getting frustrated and dont know what is going on and what to do.

If anybody had any such experience or insight into it. plz enlighten us.

thanks

Hi.

My wife and I ran into the same thing once. Well, my experience has ben that there is a lot that depends on your local sub office... i.e. how busy or inept they may be. Actually, sad to say it's pretty common. What to do??? My experience has been you will get nowhere talking to uscis national ... waste of time and oxygen. Secondly, you can make an appointment to see an officer at your sub office on Infopass on the uscis site. Lastly, since yours has been cancelled twice with a long delay, I would have my U.S. Citizen spouse call or visit thier Congress person. I have seen/heard several in similar situations who have done the latter and had an appointment within a few weeks.

Good Luck,

Rod
