Is this a new forum ? It's very much like the britishexpats one.

I found it by accident, but it seems very new.

moving to Melbourne is on a distinguished road
Default Re: Anybody here?

I just found this site tonight, and am looking for anyone who might be able to answer a few questions about Melbourne, or Australia for that matter. We are thinking of moving over for work for a few years from America. We would get paid by an American Company, in American Dollars, if that matters for the answers to the questions. My questions are
-Can you home school your children in Australia?
-How does the Health Care System work? If we are there for business, do we get Australian Medical benefits?
-Taxes.......the biggest question, how does that all work?
-Cars.....I assume Leases are an option, but is that a correct assumption?
-any good websites to look at, would be greatly appreciated

Thanks any help or answers that are given!!!!

hi i'm looking to migrate to australia and i'm in china.i know there are alot of good website in china to provide information about migrating and health and medical and tax system but now i cant say i'm clear about that. well maybe i can answer one of ur questions : the best option is to buy a car there. cars are not expensive there AU $10,000 can get a very good new car there. and if u r going to live there for a few years i suggest purchasing one. when u r gonna leave u can sell it.
