Default any uk military officers migrating to Canada

My husband (Squadron Leader in Royal Air Force) and I applied for
permanent residence under skilled work visa in Feb 05. We were hoping
it would be quite straightforward an application and want to know if
any other British Military Officers are going through the same or have
already been processed what the time scales were like and generally the
process involved. Is there anybody out there who can share their
experiences plse

No, you are not welcome to Canada. Why don't you immigrate to Iraq?

My experience as a retired Army Officer was too long ago to
help.

Only difference I can see (but I'm NO kind of expert) from a
civilian is that security check is bound to be very
straightforward.
