Hi dolly1.
Sorry I'm
not going to be much help as my children are older (13 and 15 at the
Cafcass time). But at your sons age they will look at everything from
his point of view e.g. his relationship with his father, the reasons you
are going and what you have to offer him in this new life. etc etc.
On
a positive note whether it is right or wrong they do tend to keep the
child with the mother, if you have residentia, as they feel that it is
better that the child stays with the people he is now living with. It is
by no means an open and shut case.
This is a generalisation as
obviously I don't know your personal circumstances but having sat for
many an hour with my solicitor I did manage to get hundreds of questions
answered. It's not easy especially if your son is close to his father
but I hope all goes well for you. Keep me posted.
If you want a more
personal chat PM me and I'll answer what I can.
