Mark,

My application has been sent during the last week of Aug-2007. I
understand that it'll be 8 weeks before I hear back from DIAC and
another 6 months before the final outcome !! Is that right ?

Cheers,
G

Hi G

A couple of months for confirmation of receipt sounds realistic but
time for final outcome really depends on the class of your visa
application and a number of other variables (where you live etc)....

Cheers

Mark

Mark,

I've applied under SIR (skilled immigration) category. My agent says
that it'll take 8-9 months realistically (and he's quite that !!!).

Keeping fingers crossed !!

Hi all, my partner and I have been together for 3 years, we are about to
lodge for an Interdependancy visa , but got cold feet to proceed as in
the last 12 months , we were forced by circumstances not to be
physically together for 4 months. Reason being my tourism visa to Oz
was about to expire to enter (we decided to lodge in Oz) and he still
had to close his projects down in the States, and took longer than he
anticipated. Did anyone have a similar situation, how leniant were the
Immi Dept/ Not? We don't want to waste Dollars by taking a chance on
the 12 month rule . If there are any professional advisors or people
who has/had similar situations please let me knowwhat your experiences
were or advice. I have less than a month to lodge or leave. Thanx

Hi all, we sent our TRA application on 13th September; I reckon it would
have got to them on the 19th. If we get a positive assessment (oh please
god . . !) then we'll apply for STNI (Western Australia). I'm totally
dismayed because I had no idea this would all take so long . . . I'm
impatient just to get there now! I'm sooo not good at waiting so this
will be agony.

Anyone else just sent their trades assessment away?

Christina
