Our lawyers in our firm use Very truly yours or Sincerely

Saluation is either Dear Mr. Smith; Ms. Smith or if the person is known,
Dear Mark or Mary

For form letters it is Ladies and Gentlemen

This is what I was taught in California public school:

For people you don't know:
"Dear Sir or Madam:" or "To whom it may concern:" depending on situation

When you know the specific addressee, but not well:
"Dear Mr. Smith:"

When you know the person and want to strike a more informal tone:
"Dear John:"

Was never aware that the sign off should be different depending on how
well you know the person, was taught the basics ("sincerely yours,"
"best regards," etc.) but told to use "Sincerely" if in any doubt.

It's an American/Britsh English difference:

In an American English letter that opens with Dear Mr. Caldwell or Dear
Sir or Madam, the complimentary close could be Yours truly or Very truly
yours. For an informal closing, Cordially or Best regards is
appropriate. If the salutation is Dear Bill, proper closings include
Sincerely, Cordially, and With warmest regards. A British English letter
that opens with Dear Sir or Madam has the complementary close of Yours
faithfully and where the person is named in the salutation of a business
letter (such as Dear Mr Caldwell or even Dear Bill) the correct closing
is Yours sincerely (This is never shortened to sincerely). Less formal
letters in British English may close in a similar fashion to those in
American English.

Of course, when in Rome...

Complicated enough without bringing the Italians into it.

I always thought the "faithfully" in British closings had to do with
living with a monarchy for so long. Being faithful subjects of the
queen etc. Also didn't people like to sign off with "your faithful
servant" or some such, back in the day? Even if no master-servant
relationship existed.

Default The Terminator 4 Salvations

The Terminator franchise is what got me interested in the movies in the first place. The first was a suspenseful cyberpunk thriller, and the second became my favorite movie of all time. The third fell short of intelligence but still solid nonetheless, and the TV series was a good addition to the franchise. Nearing the end of May, the fourth and latest film addition of the beloved sci-fi franchise will open, and viewers are in for a sheer summer spectacle.

Default need ringtones in French = sonneries pour portable?

Hey

I just started living in France and I'm trying to find a way to download ringtones on my cell.

I looked for "sonneries gratuit" but I'm not able to find nothing.
