Default Any Sample letter to explain- Changing from B1/B2 to F1

Hi-
I will appreciate if someone can help me here. My friend want to switch
from B1/B2 to F1 visa. According to INS, we need to attach an
explanation letter, explaining as to why my friend wants to switch from
B1/B2 to F1- Visa.

I will appreciate if someone can direct me to any sample letter that
have good reasons that immigration will accept for the change of status.

Thanks

Yeh! if u don't have anything to contribute then, don't response to this
message.... I am interested in getting a sample letter or to be directed
by someone who has experienced the same issue.

Your response is not helpfull at all. If u can't make a meaningul
contribution, then don't response to any posted message!

Ray's correct, tell your friend to write the truth. It is just that
simple. You do know the rudiments of letter writing I'm assuming, i.e.

Name
Address
City, State Zip Code

Re: Name of Beneficiary

Dear Sir:

The truth.

Very truly yours,

Your friend's name

And if your friend is a girlfriend, good luck to her and you.

I think you need an attitude adjustment, so take the stick out of your
ass. You asked for help... and Ray is right. Just because it wasn't what
you expected doesn't mean it isn't helpful. The fact that you're looking
specifically for "good reasons that immigration will accept" implies
that the truth isn't a good enough reason. There are no guarantees in
the world of immigration. If you learn that simple truth now, then the
day hasn't been a complete loss.

Interesting.

I would have gone with:

Dear Sirs,

and

Yours faithfully.

I take it that this is the US terminlogy for this situation?

Yours faithfully? Is this a love letter to the CIS :-)

Standard business procedure I have used for more years than I care
to remember.

Sirs and Faithfully for people you do not know

Sir etc/Name and Sincerley for people you do know.

Truly to me sounds too informal for business correspondence.

Just wondered what normal US Business practice was.

Hmm... I have never used "Faithfully" because it implies a relationship
where none likely exists. I have always used "Respectfully" as a nice
ender for people I don't know. Must be the result of watching Godfather
when I was 18.

Must keep an eye out.

Makes sense that there would be local practice, and the rules I know are
not followed as much as they were.
