Hello, and please don't appologise for your English... It's a lot
better than my Spanish :-)
I use doxycycline. It's cheap, and can be taken for long periods
(teenagers are often on it for years for acne treatment). I have only
one side-effect (sensitivity to the sun), but all the other drugs make
me disoriented and causes shakes and balance problems which is
dangerous in my job.
I am VERY skeptical about homeopathic preparations. I know of at least
two people who have DIED from malaria in spite of being on homeopathic
"medicines", and many more people who have had malaria while on these
"medicines".
In my experience, I don't know of one person who has contracted
malaria after following the conventional (Malarone, Mefloquine,
Doxycycline, Paludrine/Chloroquine) prophylaxis methods.
In every case where I meet people who get malaria there are three
causes:
1) They took no precautions
2) They didn't follow the medication doses correctly
3) They took homeopathic medicines.
As you know, malaria is very unpleasant, and it can kill remarkably
fast. Don't take chances with your life please.
Regards,
Marc
