Got the above update from our case officer today via Email.

it was followed by;

"Your application will be finalised and your visa's granted ASAP
(hopefully within 2 weeks)

My name is Max, I'm from Portugal. I sent my application in May 2006 and
at the beging of December the ASPC inform the name of the case officer
and asked to send the medical report as well as IELTS test (english
test). I've sent it at 12th December.
What I want to know is how long it takes for have the final decison?
When sometimes you talk about 9 months is from the application date
(May) or is from the first answer from the case officer (beging of
December?
