Default Advice on travel whilst awaiting GC application

Hi,
My family live and work in the US and are currently in the adjustment?
period whilst having their GC applications processed. The problem is
that their temporary travel papers have expired, and although they
re-applied in July 03, there is no sign of those papers (just a
receipt reference number), worse still myself and my fiancee are
getting married in South Africa in 4 weeks time, so we are wondering
is there anyway at all that my family can travel to our wedding
without running the risk of not getting back into the states.

Any advice gratefully received!

ML

I assume you mean you don't have the advance parole? You may be able to get it
on urgent basis if you have been waiting 90 days or more (I think). In any case
don't travel unless you have the AP. If you leave before it is approved, you
AOS will be considered abandoned and you will have to refile with a new start
date.

Thanks.

The application has taken longer than 90days - what is the procedure
for getting the advance parole application expedited ?

If you have the receipt notice, go to the local CIS center and ask them for
one. Tell them you can't fart around while their colleagues drink coffee at the
service center (maybe a bit more diplomatically ). You can say you need to
travel right now. Pretend you don't know there is a backlog and say you
expected it to come through and now you need their help...
