Default Advance Parole Question

Well, At first I wasn't going to file for Advance Parole with my AOS b/c a lawyer told me it would only take about 4 months to get an interview and be approved. That was in the summer and now most laywers I've talked to say it's around a year (this time seems more believeable!) and processing time on the USCIS site is about 6 months out.

Anyway, now I need to file advance parole b/c next august I have to go back to canada for my sisters wedding. And I also just found out that my brother is getting married in the fall too.

My question, I know when I'll be traveling for my sisters wedding but my brother hasn't even set a date yet, i just know it'll be in the fall sometime. What do I fill in for "Date of Intended Departure"? and "Expected Length of Trip"? for my trip to go to his wedding?

It's also confusing b/c there's only one box for date of departure and expected length of trip but further down there's a box that asks if you will use this for more than one trip. My best guess is to include it in the explaination. Gosh!
Thanks all!

Default Re: Advance Parole Question

I'm going to make an infopass appointment to get the above questions answered. I was just wondering, from people's experiences, if it will be of any help since I've read on here that officers don't really have to help you fill out the paperwork. I guess all I can do is go down there and try, right?

I also have other questions about some of the other paperwork. I hope they will answer those too.
