First of all, congrats on the baby!! We have ours on the way as well
(due date May 25th) so we are just as eager to go home to my see my
family and show off the bun.
I checked the web site for the Spokane office ( ]
https://egov.immig-
ration.gov/graphics/cris/jsps/officeProcesstimes.jsp?selectedOffice=76[-
/url] ) and it does seem that they are quicker with their EAD
processings than they are with the AP.
I don't have a lot of experience reading these processing times, but I
believe I read in another post that they are fairly accurate. So, if
you filed the AP documents around or before August 31, 2003, you should
be getting very close to getting a notice letter in the mail.
As far as I know you will not be able to check the specific status of
your case (since you filed with a district office and thus you received
an 8-digit A# - same as me). Unfortunately, that leaves you to use the
CIS' web site with their processing times, or ask for the experiences of
others who filed at the same office. You could also be bold (like me
:-) and call their office and ask for the AP Clerk and see if he/she can
help find your AP application and determine the status.
In any case, best of luck to all of you, and I'm keeping my fingers
crossed that everything will work out quickly!
Best wishes,
Eiolf
