Default Add dependent parent after application lodged?

Hi,

--ACS in June 2004
--STNI Victoria received October 2004
--Lodged application Jan 2005
--Medicals and PCC requested March 2005
--Medicals and PCC submitted May 2005
No news thereafter

I am an only child migrating under Skilled STNI. Lost my dad after the
appln was lodged. Can I now add my mother to my application as dependent
? Will this affect my processing or should I wait and then sponsor her
under the parent class? How easy will it be for her to visit me till her
PR comes thru?

Thanks !

Get professional advice from an experienced agent if you want to explore
this in more detail, but getting parents accepted as dependents is very
difficult.

It could well do - if you won the argument on dependency then any health
problem with your mother could mean your application was refused.

Contributory Parent is the normal route for parents. However it
has some specific requirements and it will be a few years before
you can sponsor.

Depends on her nationality (is she ETA eligible) and if not, on whether
she can get a tourist visa.

Thanks, JAJ. I was going through the other posts here and it looks like
her visiting me on 6 month periods on a tourist visa till I can get her
contributory visa is the only option..
