Hi Guy,
Tell us about the security technologies you use.

Re: ACS ASSESSMENT with MODL
i had already got suitable letter from acs in 2231-79 AQF DIPLOMA and
now its expire but last time i apply in RPL category by mistake. Now i
again want to assess my application and i want to know that is it
necessary to apply in RPL category or i can apply without RPL ??
because i think i dont need to apply in RPL because i already fall in
category B, AQF DIPLOMA but someone told me that u must submit the case
in RPL because last time ur application assess in RPL. Im lil confused.
Is RPL processing fast ? how much it takes time in ACS and in
immigration process ??
My MCSE was on NT 4.0 and then i passed accelerated exam on windows
2000 and CCNA.
My elective was PROXY SERVER 2.0, TCP/IP.
Im providing security in lan using cisco routers configuration, access
list, vlan, etc
administrating windows 2000, NT, active directory, proxy server,
polices , security,, etc.
which kind of network security they required in MODL ?? im going to
apply in 2231-79(Network Security)
thanx

I'm not sure for certain but I would guess that to distinguish between
general Network Administration (which you seem to describe) and Network
Security you may need qualifications and/or experience with things such
as Firewalls (Checkpoint/Netscreen/Cisco PIX etc), IDS/IPS,
Vulnerability scanners, etc - the usual stuff that a network security
analyst will deal with. I guess it all depends on how the ACS define
Network Security.

Dear Colleagues...
I am a bit confused with regards to what route to follow regarding my
skills assessment.
I hold a 3 year engineering diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication
engineering and hold the following Certs - CISSP, CISA, CCNP, CCDA,
CCNA,MCSE (NT4 and Win2k), RHCT(Red Hat Certified Technician).
I have been working in the ISP industry since 2001 and handle LANS,
WANS, Broadband Wireless, Messaging, Content and Network Security.
Do i need to go the RPL route? I see some info on this thread with
regards to Group B for MCSE, is that still current?
ANy advise would be helpfull...
Regards
Stacnet
