Default Acknowledgement recd....now what?

Hi all,

I just received my acknowledgement from DIMA for September 136 MODL.

What I want to know is that since I have now received the file number
(I have not seen the ack. letter yet as it is still with the agent),
should I go ahead with the PCC and medicals or should I wait till I am
formally requested for them by the CO though our agent.

Also, my agent says that PCC and medicals have to be done with 6 months
from the date of acknowldgement of your application with DIMA (I am
already 2 months into my application process). Is this correct?

Just clear the the smoke.

Cheers

Hi Floyd

As u very well know PCC and medicals are an essential part of PR. Y not
go ahead and do wat is reqd and produce the results when asked for.
Waiting for them to ask u and then u go to do it and wait for
results...is only going to suck more time. Keep as much ready as
possible.

Cheers,

Yeah bro, I thought so too.

But the only hick is that since both medicals and PCC are valid for 1
year and what with all the delays happening at DIMA's end, is it wise
to jump the gun and mininmise your validation period later? If things
move as per an average timeline, then one can plan things a lot better.
But of what I see happening around is that timelines are so far pretty
skewed with the result one can only wait and guess things and move
accordingly. Its taken me 3 months to get my acknowledgement from DIMA.
I don't know what all other delays are in store for me.

So don't really know what to do about the medicals and PCC.

Anyways, thanks for the advise.

Cheers

Personally I would wait until the checks are requested. As for medicals,
they are sent straight off, you don't get access to them - so you
wouldn't be able to hold on to them until requested. I think the latest
DIMA stance is that they do not want you to frontload meds and pccs.
