Default About the marks on education

Hi,

I have a few relatively naive questions.

Is a "Bachelor of Engineering" degree ( of 4 years, thereby having a
total education of 16 years ) considered as equivalent to any
Bachelor degree of 2 years ( fetching 20 points ) ? So it will score
less than a 3 years diploma ( with total 15 years of education ),
which gets 22 points ?

Someone told me that a "Bachelor of Engineering" of 4 years would be
considered as a trade certificate. Is that true ?

Also, does the "Previous work in Canada" have to be more than one year
"in continuity" ? Will working on workpermit twice ( 6 months each )
qualify me for this ?

Thanks

    >Yes you have identified one of the anomolies of the new IRPA, this was a last minute
decision, apparently at the insistence of the Minister to ensure that
qualified tradespeople would be able to apply and qualify under the
old 75 passmark. The same thing holds true for a nurse with a 3 year
college diploma gets 22 points while a Bachelor of Nursing and 4 years
of University only gets 20.

It is considered a Bachelor degree worth 20 points.

    >Subsection 83 (4) states that a skilled worker shall be awarded 5 points if they or their accompanying
spouse/common law partner engaged ina at least one year of full-time
work in Canada under a work permit. It does not have to be continuous
but you will have to provide evidence of one year of full time
employment under the authority of a work permit.
