The US Embassy's are largely restricted to what the various officials in
each country that they operate in will provide. Some countries will not
provide a 'police certificate' and the embassies know and accept this.
The London Embassy will be expecting exactly the certificate that you got
from New Scotland Yard. You did well getting such a rapid turn around on
it!

I know what I'm about to say doesn't help (I know, I've been there!) - stop
