Hi
I sent off the required forms requesting a police certificate for my
interview and was aware it could take upto 60 days to get sent back to
me from New Scotland Yard. But I got something back in the mail today
which is only 16 days after I sent the forms out and although it is an
official letter, it is not what I was expecting back.
It says as
follows;
Section 7, Data Protection Act 1998 - Subject Access
In reply
to your request for information that may be held about you by the --------------
Police on computers in the following catergories:-
Person Record:
Prosecution/Conviction
The Data Protection Act places an obligation on
the Police when holding personal information on computer to provide a
copy of that information (unless an exemption applies) to the individual
concerned on request.
From the personal details supplied in your
request there is no information held about you in Person Record
catergory of the Police National Computer.
If you request any
catergories not shown above, the ----------- Police will send you a
seperate reply
Is this what i need, my police certificate? It's just
more a letter than a certificate I was expecting. I am in England btw so
if anyone can shed light on this for me it would be MUCH APPRICIATED
THANKS IN ADVANCE : )
