My girlfriend's father has 3 dependents plus me making 4 dependents in
total. One of the dependents is his wife who is self employed and earns
her own income. If he wished to include his wife's income, would my
fiancees father's wife have to submit a form also? Even if they submit
the same tax return and share the same joint bank account? Or would they
simply be able to combine their incomes and complete the single form
alongside my finacee's seperate I-134?

Thanks very much,

Nick

I self sponsored at the London Consulate. I filled out the forms amnd
signed them, my now ife did not, she did have to sponsor me later of
course when I adjusted status.

I assumed that I would need to meet the usual mutipliers, I only found
out later that they did not require this, they showed little to no
interest in my fiancial documents.

Others have reported back only needing a few thousand, so either this is
a change of policy or somebody who does not know London normal
procedure.

I have never heard of anyone being able to use a co-sponsor outside of
the US, but then each Consulate makes up its own rules, London is I
believe the only one that allows self sponsorship.

Yeah I quite suprised that they suspended my application for this
reason. The girl who interviewed me was in her early 20's and was
extremely unhelpful. I was asking her various questions and she really
didn't seem interested in answering them, only in moving on to the next
visa applicant =/

Just to get it straight...the household is your father-in-law, mother-in-
law, and their 2 children? Plus you? Making a total of 5?

If you father in law does not earn enough for a family of 5, he can
indeed include his wife's income. Offhand, I'm not sure how that is
shown on the I-134 (it's been years since I looked at the form), but for
the I-864, he would show the combined income, and his wife would fill
out an I-864A as a household member contributing income on the I-864.
