Default [Timeline]I've got it! thorugh RPC Buffalo and LA Interview

Hi, all
It took about three years and five months(3.5yrs). Someone says it is
the greatest patience test ever.
Here is my timeline:(Independent Skilled Worker/Computer
Programmer/Korean resident in Japan)
----------(Some events are not directly concerned with the immigration
process.)
Application on October 30, 2001
(I lived in the Korea(South), however I sent the application to RPC
Buffalo, NY through the agent in Toronto, ON)
Started processing on December 11, 2001
Immigrated into Japan on April 1, 2002
Status inquiry on November 16, 2002
Status inquiry and requested the waiver of visa interview on April 15,
2003
Court appeal through the Canadian lawyer on June 14, 2003
(To request CIC to process my case under the former selection criteria)
Request police certificates from RCMP(Canada) for my spouse on July 7,
2003
Obtained police certificates from Japan for us on July 8, 2003
Sent documents for adding the spouse as a dependent on July 8, 2003
(Police certificate from Japan and so on)
Interview waiver request on September 22, 2003
Interview waiver request on April 4, 2004
Sent additional documents for my spouse on May 5, 2004
Medical examination on October 8, 2004
Requested police certificates from Japan AGAIN for us on November 3,
2004
Interviewed in Los Angeles, CA on November 8, 2004
Requested police certificates from FBI on November 22, 2004
IELTS testing on January 22/23, 2005
Sent additional documents on January 26, 2005
(Proof of financial assets and liabilities, Police certificates from
Japan and FBI, Right of Landing Fee)
Received IELTS score report on February 7, 2005
(Listening 6.5/Reading 7.0/Writing 6/Speaking 5=>Overall band score
6.0)
Decision made and passports requested on February 17, 2005
(Received the letter on February 28, 2005)
Sent passports on March 9, 2005
Received passports and CPR(Confirmation of Permanent Resident) on April
9, 2005
Done. Yes, I've finally got it!

Congratulations!

If your lawyer would have submitted application to Seoul instead of Buffalo
(where your case was processed with lower priority as out of jurisdiction
case) you would have been approved in late 2002.

I have been impressed with your postings since I knew this news group.
Though there are some conflictions in this group, your advice will be
